Several BMW Innovations Premiered at 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas
The SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show was recently held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and BMWtook advantage of the occasion to showcase the global debuts of specialized accessories, a unique commemorative vehicle and more.
In August, BMW introduced the all-new 2018 BMW M5 to the world, so this was an ideal moment for BMW to present an array of M Performance parts that are designed exclusively for the vehicle. From components engineered to improve aerodynamics to a panoply of performance-oriented accessories, BMW makes it easy to add track-inspired style and performance to your M5.
The show also hosted the global introduction of the 2018 BMW M3 "30 Years American Edition" vehicle, which was designed by BMW Group Designworks and built by BMW Individual. This is literally a one-of-a-kind vehicle, and was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the year the M3 first arrived on U.S. roads and tracks.
Attendees also saw the debut of the BMW Original Accessory: the BMW Turbocord™ EV Charger. By delivering fast-charging capability and a flexible dual-voltage (120 V/240 V) adaptability, this charging solution is the ideal answer for BMW i and BMW iPerformance vehicle owners.
BMW also showcased a wide variety of vehicles at the show, such as the BMW 740e iPerformance, BMW 440i Gran Coupe, BMW X3 xDrive 30i, along with vehicles representing BMW Mototorsport, like the Moto GP BMW X2 safety car and the BMW M1 IMSA Group 4 race car.
The 2017 SEMA Show is the world’s top trade fair for vehicle individualization, offering more than one million square feet of exhibitions space at the Las Vegas Convention Center and boasting roughly 60,000 visitors.
