The 2018 BMW X3 is Unveiled

Late last month, BMW rolled out the all-new 2018 X3 at the company's Spartanburg, SC plant. This most recent version of the Sports Activity Vehicle offers a striking design and powerful, efficient drive systems.

BMW has given the X3 a "three-dimensional" kidney grille and fog lights that feature a hexagonal design, while the sloping roof spoiler and twin exhaust pipes enhance the vehicle's muscular appearance. Plus, the new X3 will be the first BMW Sports Activity Vehicle in the United States to offer a factory-installed trailer hitch.

Inside you'll find a variety of standard amenities, including three-zone automatic climate control, front ventilated seats and a panoramic glass moonroof. The 40/20/40 split rear seats fold to more than double the cargo area, expanding from 28.7 cubic feet to 62.7 cubic feet.

The all-new X3 offers a standard TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder inline engine, while the X3 M40i is powered by a 3.0-liter M Performance TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission that features shift paddles, while the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system features improvements that help increase efficiency.

The 2018 BMW X3 will be available for purchase later this fall.
